18-06 VNSG ABAP Cloud Developer Day 2026
The Custom Development Focus Group, together with SAP, is organizing the VNSG ABAP Cloud Developer Day 2026 at Ctac on June 18, 2026.
ABAP Cloud is SAP’s development model for building cloud-ready, clean core-compliant business applications, services, and extensions. It can be used both on-stack in SAP S/4HANA Cloud and on-premise, as well as side-by-side on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). It provides key-user and developer extensibility options and supports the development of transactional, analytical, and integration scenarios. The ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) is at the center of ABAP cloud for building transactional scenarios.
ABAP Cloud is available in SAP BTP ABAP environment, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, and – starting with the 2022 release – in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition and SAP S/4HANA.
SAP Joule for Developers, ABAP AI capabilities boot ABAP Cloud developer productivity and help infuse AI into their custom applications and business processes.
This event offers a mix of lectures, demos, and hands-on exercises focused on on-stack extensibility and troubleshooting with ABAP Cloud, as well as clean core development and transformation following the clean core levels model for SAP's Cloud ERP solutions. Participants must bring their own laptops for the practical exercises (Bring Your Own Device).

1. Modern development with the ABAP Cloud development model and Generative AI
2. ABAP development tools for Visual Studio Code
3. On-Stack extensibility options for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
4. Clean core development and transformator in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, incl. hands-on exercises
5. Troubleshooting and Optimization of ABAP Cloud Extensions, incl. hands-on exercises
The instructors are Olga Dolinskaja, Burcu Karlidag, and Ingo Bräuninger from the ABAP Platform Product Management and Development team at SAP.
Prerequisites for the attendees:
• Sound knowledge of ABAP
• Basic knowledge of ABAP Development Tools for Eclipse
• Basic knowledge of ABAP Core Data Services (CDS)
• Basic knowledge of ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) – see RAP100 Tutorial Mission
• Bring your own device (laptop) – to complete the practical exercises
• Installation of the latest ADT plugin on the latest Eclipse platform on your device before the event – see Install ADT - Tutorial
• Installation of the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio Code, including the SQL Analyzer Tool for SAP HANA – see MS Visual Studio Code and SQL Analyzer Tool for SAP HANA
