18-06 VNSG Focusgroep Industry 4.0 Workshop

How to align SAP Integrated toolchain with Enterprise Solution Architecture to manage Business Transformation lifecycle

18 June - Afternoon workshop; VNSG will host an interactive workshop where multiple companies will share their practical lessons learned in defining and governing their Activate project methodology, their SAP Integrated Toolchain (ITC) and Enterprise Architecture standards.

Participating organizations include Friesland Campina and Philips, who will present real-world insights into:
• How they structured their integrated tool chain (ITC) and ESA standards
• How SAP tools were embedded into existing Enterprise Solution Architecture frameworks
• What governance models worked—and which pitfalls to avoid

Many organizations are extending their internal project and delivery standards by incorporating SAP Activate accelerators and the SAP Integrated Toolchain (ITC). The goal is to enable more effective control over complex business transformation initiatives while ensuring alignment with Enterprise Solution Architecture (ESA) standards.

The SAP Integrated Toolchain typically includes tools such as Jira, SAP Cloud ALM, Tricentis, Signavio, LeanIX, and WalkMe, while the broader ESA toolchain often comprises SAP BTP platforms, ITSM platforms, Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, BI & AI platforms, Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) tools, and business model dashboards.
Aligning these two toolchains is becoming a critical success factor for managing the end to end business transformation lifecycle—from strategy and architecture to implementation, operations, and continuous optimization.

The workshop is supported by ALM and Enterprise Architecture experts from SAP Walldorf, VNSG, and implementation partners, including: Eddy Kostons (MyBrand Conclusion), René de Daniel (SAP), Marc Dietrich (SAP), Maarten Maassen (SAP), Florian Hofstäedter (SAP) and Koen van der Sabben (SAP)
